What This Calculator Does

This calculator converts a number of beats or bars at a given BPM (beats per minute) into total time duration (minutes and seconds). It helps musicians, producers, and composers quickly figure out how long a section of music will last.

Step-by-Step Instructions

2. Enter Number of Beats or Bars – Choose whether you're using beats or bars via the toggle.
3. Select Time Signature (if using bars) – Choose how many beats per bar (e.g., 4/4, 6/8).

How It Works (The Math)

• Minutes per Beat = 1 / BPM
• Total Minutes = Number of Beats × Minutes per Beat
• Total Seconds = Total Minutes × 60
• If you're entering Bars, the number of beats is calculated as:
  • Beats = Bars × Beats per Bar (based on selected time signature)
